Chhatarpur: A wonderful example of devotion and dedication has been seen in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh. Local farmer Vasudev Tiwari donated his ancestral land for the construction of Ram-Janaki temple near Dakshinmukhi Hanuman temple located in Gudhaura village, about 10 kilometers from Lavkush Nagar. With this historic step, a grand Ram-Janaki temple will now be constructed in the temple premises.
Religious importance of Hanuman temple
Dakshinmukhi Hanuman Temple located in Gudhaura is one of the most ancient and famous religious places of the district. A large number of devotees come here every Tuesday and Saturday for darshan. This temple is not only the faith center of the people of Chhatarpur district, but devotees from other states including Uttar Pradesh also come to visit here.
There was an obstacle in the construction of Ram-Janaki temple.
There was a plan to build a Ram-Janaki temple in the premises of Hanuman temple for years, but due to lack of land, this construction was incomplete. The temple trust discussed this several times, but no solution was found. Despite having vacant land near the temple, there were difficulties in using it.
Farmer showed devotion and generosity
Vasudev Tiwari, a resident of Gudhaura and a farmer living in Khajuraho, donated his 0.5551 hectare (about 4 bigha) land for the construction of Ram-Janaki temple. He got this land registered in the name of Hanuman ji. Radha Krishna Tiwari, brother of Vasudev Tiwari, said that the family took this step considering it as a symbol of devotion and service.
He says that due to non-construction of Ram-Janaki temple in the Hanuman temple complex, devotees were inconvenienced. Now by donating the land, the way for the construction of the temple has been cleared.
Villagers’ cooperation and happiness
The villagers appreciated this contribution of Vasudev Tiwari. He told that when the need for land was discussed in the meeting regarding the construction of the temple, Tiwari ji decided to donate his land without any fee. Now the construction of a grand Ram-Janaki temple will begin in the temple premises, which will provide more facilities to the devotees for worship.
Miraculous Hanuman Temple
This Hanuman temple is famous for its miraculous idol. There is a constant flow of devotees in the temple every day. Especially on Tuesday and Saturday there is a huge crowd of devotees.
